Asian Fact-Checkers Network

Black Dot Research led the formation of the Asian Fact-Checkers Network in 2021 to bring together key fact-checking organisations from around Asia to come together, collaborate, share best practices, and exchange expertise in order to collectively tackle the constantly evolving and rising threat of misinformation and disinformation commonly known as “fake news.”

AFCN currently has a significant presence in the region, with members spanning India, Indonesia, Timor Leste, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. AFCN seeks to grow the network and to ramp up efforts to exchange expertise, experience and best practices, ensuring that fact-checking survives, thrives and keeps pace with the evolving threats of misinformation and disinformation.
